About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate and supervise all aspects of property maintenance and repairs for a portfolio of single-family homes.
Source, vet, and manage relationships with third-party contractors and service providers to ensure quality work, timely completion, and cost-efficiency.
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule to proactively address property upkeep and reduce emergency repairs.
Receive, prioritize, assign, and track maintenance requests using our property management software.
Conduct regular property inspections (move-in, move-out, seasonal, annual) to identify maintenance needs and ensure lease compliance.
Assist in preparing and managing maintenance budgets, including approval and tracking of expenses.
Serve as the first point of contact for maintenance emergencies; coordinate after-hours or urgent repair response.
Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Supervise in-house maintenance staff, assigning tasks and evaluating performance where applicable.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of maintenance or facilities management experience
Residential property maintenance experience strongly preferred
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair
Proficient in property management or work order systems (e.g., AppFolio, Buildium, Propertyware, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver’s license required; certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or other trades are a plus
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Must be available for on-call duty on a rotational basis, including nights and weekends.
