About the role

  • Continuously monitor systems and networks using security tools to identify and analyze suspicious events and malicious activity.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, identifying root causes, mitigating risks, and implementing appropriate remediation measures.
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize security tools to ensure efficient and effective protection against threats.
  • Document security incidents, produce detailed event analysis reports, and recommend improvements to security processes.
  • Work closely with other IT and security teams to ensure the implementation and maintenance of security best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Proven experience implementing security solutions and controls in cloud environments, especially AWS.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as OWASP and OpenSAMM.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Ability to analyze logs and security event data to identify and resolve complex security issues.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document processes and incidents clearly and concisely.
  • AWS certifications (CCP, SAA).
