About the role
- Develop and define processes and standards for the natural gas and biomethane portfolio
- Strategically position biomethane in the market
- Support the certification of biomethane producers and combined heat and power (CHP) plants
- Procure CO2 certificates
- Document biogas volumes in the dena Biogas Register
- Prepare forecasts and balancing calculations for the entire portfolio
- Procure volumes of natural gas and biomethane
- Review and validate load profile data
- Continuously evaluate the portfolio based on current market conditions
- Optimize heat generation assets and perform economic sizing/design
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Renewable Energies, Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Relevant commercial vocational training with additional qualifications
- Experience in the energy industry
- Good understanding of European gas and energy markets (TTF, THE, LNG or storage markets)
- Strong numerical/mathematical skills
- Excellent Excel skills
- Experience with Power BI
- Native-level German
- Business-fluent English
