About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive, review, and report new claims to TPAs, carriers, and claim partners
  • Maintain accurate claim files, documentation, and follow-up activities
  • Serve as a resource for employees and supervisors regarding claim reporting and claim status
  • Collect and manage incident reports, medical documentation, witness statements, and supporting records
  • Track work restrictions, return-to-work dates, and modified duty assignments
  • Follow up with employees, supervisors, providers, and adjusters to obtain required information
  • Assist with OSHA recordkeeping, audits, insurance renewal requests, and compliance-related activities
  • Manage claims-related correspondence, reports, and departmental administrative tasks
  • Escalate lost-time, litigated, or complex claims to the Claims Manager
  • Support workers’ compensation, auto liability, general liability, and property claims programs
  • Work with employees, supervisors, carriers, TPAs, and other claim partners to ensure timely reporting, accurate recordkeeping, and a positive claims experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree preferred; equivalent education and experience considered
  • 2+ years of experience in claims administration, workers’ compensation, safety, HR, risk management, insurance, or a related field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and employee support mindset
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Familiarity with claims management systems and handling sensitive information preferred
