About the role

  • Travel to hospitals and clinical sites to perform medical waste container exchanges and ensure proper segregation.
  • Inspect and service Daniels Health containers in clinical areas, including entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients.
  • Lift containers (up to 50 lbs) and push/pull carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day.
  • Maintain inventory of containers and ensure all areas are stocked and organized.
  • Use a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with the team.
  • Keep staging areas clean and orderly before and after service.
  • Represent Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.
  • Work directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely service and compliance with infection control procedures.

Requirements

  • Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting (lifting containers up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling carts up to 300 lbs).
  • Team player who can also work independently without direct supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail for paperwork and procedures.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Illinois and multiple locations in the Youngstown/Cleveland, OH area.
  • Previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role preferred.
  • Willingness to travel in a personal vehicle.
  • Willingness to be COVID-19 vaccinated required due to hospital access.
