About the role
- Perform medical waste container exchanges and ensure proper segregation with hospital staff.
- Inspect and service Daniels Health containers in clinical areas, including procedural spaces around sensitive equipment and patients.
- Lift containers (up to 50 lbs) and push/pull carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day.
- Maintain inventory of containers and ensure areas are stocked and organized.
- Use company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with team.
- Keep staging areas clean and orderly before and after service.
- Represent Daniels Health with professionalism and a strong work ethic.
- Work Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; on-site, hands-on role supporting hospitals in the U.S.
Requirements
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull carts up to 300 lbs.
- Team player who can also work independently without direct supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, especially with paperwork and procedures.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Illinois.
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role preferred.
- COVID-19 vaccination required due to hospital access.
- Must be able to work in Cedar Rapids, Rock Island, Moline, and Bettendorf during the week.
