About the role
- Working directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation.
- Inspecting and servicing Daniels Health containers in clinical areas, including entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients.
- Lifting containers (up to 50 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day.
- Maintaining inventory of containers and ensuring all areas are stocked and organized.
- Using a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with your team.
- Keeping staging areas clean and orderly before and after service.
- Representing Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.
Requirements
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Ability to lift containers up to 50 lbs and push/pull carts up to 300 lbs
- Team player who can also work independently without direct supervision
- Strong attention to detail with paperwork and procedures
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Illinois
- Can-do attitude and previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role
- COVID-19 vaccination required due to hospital access
