About the role
- Manage medical file review process and review completed referrals to ensure client questions are addressed and reports are accurate
- Review reports accompanying medical records to ensure completeness and that all client questions have been addressed
- Follow up with reviewers for clarifications and with clients for additional questions
- Update clients frequently on referral progress
- Ensure reports are grammatically correct with no spelling errors
- Ensure each referral adheres to the QA checklist prior to completion
- Format reports for approval
- Communicate clearly and concisely between the customer, reviewer, and Operations team
- Speak confidently with physicians and clients regarding the content of peer reviews
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned based on business needs
Requirements
- An Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting is preferred
- Experience working with technology-based processes within a business environment
- Preference for candidates with liability experience and/or paralegal defense work
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to speak with physicians and clients
- Critical thinking, time management, and ability to meet deadlines
- Computer literacy and typing skills
- Supply and support own internet services for work-from-home
- Maintaining an uninterrupted internet connection is a requirement of the position
