Key responsibilities & impact

Setting the vision and strategic direction for the Specialty Testing business area
Leading daily business operations support related to product development and clinical research
Assisting the Chief Medical Officer as the medical representative of Beckman to external partners and professional societies
Building and growing the Specialty Testing business area leadership to impact patient outcomes
Partnering with senior external customers as a thought leader and Beckman Coulter representative
Steering collaborative efforts between business leaders and research teams to define research priorities
Establishing and cultivating strategic academic partners for research and innovation partnerships
Leading global strategies for health economics, policy, and reimbursement (HEPR) for Beckman solutions
Building and sustaining influential relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)

Requirements

What you’ll need

Doctorate level requirement (M.D., Ph.D, Pharm.D, DNP) with a minimum of 20 years of medical & clinical affairs experience
Board-certified hematologist
Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clinical and business issues to audiences of diverse backgrounds
Strong leadership skills, able to create a dynamic environment that fosters transparency, collaboration, and innovative thinking
Strong problem solving and negotiation skills; ability to influence and make recommendations at multiple levels of the company
Minimum of 5 years of project management skills to establish strategic goals and to prioritize, plan, delegate and evaluate deliverables – with a continuous improvement mindset
Has extensive clinical experience and a knowledge base beyond hematology that extends to complementary areas such as bone health and anemia and immunology
Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time (domestic and international)
