About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Setting the vision and strategic direction for the Specialty Testing business area
- Leading daily business operations support related to product development and clinical research
- Assisting the Chief Medical Officer as the medical representative of Beckman to external partners and professional societies
- Building and growing the Specialty Testing business area leadership to impact patient outcomes
- Partnering with senior external customers as a thought leader and Beckman Coulter representative
- Steering collaborative efforts between business leaders and research teams to define research priorities
- Establishing and cultivating strategic academic partners for research and innovation partnerships
- Leading global strategies for health economics, policy, and reimbursement (HEPR) for Beckman solutions
- Building and sustaining influential relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctorate level requirement (M.D., Ph.D, Pharm.D, DNP) with a minimum of 20 years of medical & clinical affairs experience
- Board-certified hematologist
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clinical and business issues to audiences of diverse backgrounds
- Strong leadership skills, able to create a dynamic environment that fosters transparency, collaboration, and innovative thinking
- Strong problem solving and negotiation skills; ability to influence and make recommendations at multiple levels of the company
- Minimum of 5 years of project management skills to establish strategic goals and to prioritize, plan, delegate and evaluate deliverables – with a continuous improvement mindset
- Has extensive clinical experience and a knowledge base beyond hematology that extends to complementary areas such as bone health and anemia and immunology
- Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time (domestic and international)
