About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and maintain a portfolio of key accounts within an assigned territory
- Provide advanced services and technical support to customers
- Coordinate customer visits to provide technical information, product demonstrations, and/or technical seminars
- Participate in local supplier trade shows and company-sponsored trade shows
- Build relationships with accounts and engage key decision-makers at existing and prospective customers
- Achieve sales, gross margin, and volume targets within the assigned territory
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop business plans and commercial strategies for key accounts
- Work with cross-functional teams
- Serve as a resource for colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and training
- Report to the District Sales Manager and join the Phenomenex France team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or another related scientific discipline required
- Proven sales experience in a similar role within the food and beverage industry
- Ability to strategically plan, organize, and allocate resources to meet business needs
- Advanced knowledge of sales principles and negotiation techniques
- Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities
- Strong knowledge of chromatography
- Excellent communication skills in French and English
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% as required by the territory
- Valid driver’s license required
- Experience in the food and beverage and/or environmental industries is a plus
- Hands-on laboratory experience in chromatography, particularly HPLC, is a plus
- Proven track record of success in sales or customer service roles is a plus
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software preferred
