About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repairs on Beckman Coulter equipment
Provide excellent and efficient service to Beckman Coulter customers
Provide technical training on products
Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records
Order repair parts and adhere to cycle times
Use OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service call planning and advancing team goals
Communicate with internal and external customers at various levels and address their unique needs
Assist with training newer Field Service Engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate degree, preferably in technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or related field, or equivalent military experience may be considered case by case
1 year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation
Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex systems
Ability to travel 100%, including some overnight visits, within the territory or locations
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50 lb unassisted
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, sit/stand for extended periods, reach at/above/below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and use good hand and finger dexterity
3+ years of advanced troubleshooting experience is a plus
Experience developing relationships with internal and external customers is a plus
