About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repairs on Beckman Coulter equipment
- Provide excellent and efficient service to Beckman Coulter customers
- Provide technical training on products
- Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records
- Order repair parts and adhere to cycle times
- Use OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service call planning and advancing team goals
- Communicate with internal and external customers at various levels and address their unique needs
- Assist with training newer Field Service Engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree, preferably in technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or related field, or equivalent military experience may be considered case by case
- 1 year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex systems
- Ability to travel 100%, including some overnight visits, within the territory or locations
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50 lb unassisted
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, sit/stand for extended periods, reach at/above/below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and use good hand and finger dexterity
- 3+ years of advanced troubleshooting experience is a plus
- Experience developing relationships with internal and external customers is a plus
