About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee accounting, reporting, and governance of Cepheid's fixed asset portfolio
Own accounting and reporting for fixed assets, including acquisitions, transfers, disposals, capitalization, depreciation, CIP monitoring, journal entries, account reconciliations, rollforwards, and month-end close activities
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies, including quarterly and annual statutory reporting
Oversee the fixed asset lifecycle, Corporate Physical Inventory program, and RFID asset tracking system
Support internal and external audits and maintain effective internal controls
Partner with FP&A, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and operational teams on capital investments and timely asset capitalization
Analyze financial results and provide management reporting
Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5 years of fixed asset accounting experience
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Experience supporting large capital expenditure programs preferred
Experience with physical asset inventories and capitalization processes preferred
Experience with SAP Fixed Assets (FI-AA) strongly preferred
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies
Ability to support audits and internal controls
