About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients while installing and maintaining diagnostic instruments in hospital laboratory environments
  • Serve assigned customers under minimal supervision
  • Troubleshoot, install, validate, maintain, and repair designated instrumentation
  • Complete preventative maintenance, field modifications, instrument repairs, and work order/service documentation accurately and on time
  • Occasionally travel across Canada to support sites using the company’s instrumentation
  • Report to the Quebec District Service Manager as part of the Service department serving the Chicoutimi/Jonquière area

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Technical degree in biomedical, laboratory, electronics, or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of experience troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining laboratory equipment at customer sites OR 1 year of mechanical or electrical experience
  • Bilingualism in French and English, spoken and written
  • Ability to travel to the United States for training
  • Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise, and/or place up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk for prolonged periods, and sit; squat and kneel; ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms
  • Field service experience is a plus
  • Technical service experience with hematology and chemistry instruments is a plus
