About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, develop, and implement a global EH&S and environmental sustainability management strategy, programs, policies, and procedures for IDT
  • Ensure full company compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and customer requirements
  • Implement compliance programs and standard work for environmental report management and submission
  • Lead global facility EH&S reviews to detect hazards and determine corrective or preventative measures
  • Follow up to ensure corrective or preventative measures are implemented and effective
  • Keep the global EH&S team current on relevant laws, regulations, and statutory requirements
  • Lead and coordinate OpCo, Danaher, and external EH&S audits globally
  • Develop action plans to resolve audit findings and implement countermeasures
  • Serve as IDT global contact for relevant government agencies
  • Serve as Danaher point of contact for IDT and IDT representative on the Danaher EH&S Operations Leadership Council
  • Provide leadership on EH&S issues and advise top management on business impacts and resource allocation
  • Assist management in identifying and implementing corrective measures to improve site EH&S performance against goals
  • Supervise Business Continuity Planning team and activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proven track record driving the EH&S agenda in a multi-site, global manufacturing organization
  • Ability to engage the workforce at all levels to build a strong EH&S culture
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach to EH&S management
  • Broad EH&S experience, including working-level subject matter expertise
  • Project/process leadership experience
  • Department or functional area management experience
  • Must reside in the US
  • Frequent travel to Coralville; relocation to Iowa preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel 40–50%, including approximately 10% global travel
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Ability to prioritize multiple workloads and tasks while meeting timelines
  • Ability to view issues systematically and logically
  • EH&S-related licenses, certifications, or professional association membership is a plus
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration, and risk and liability management is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading Business Continuity Planning and supervising BCP teams and activities
