About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Produce and execute events to amplify Abcam’s brand image, increase customer engagement, and demonstrate thought leadership in the life sciences industry
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Regional Field Marketing teams on brand positioning, values, and business goals
- Maximize event presence, messaging, and operational efficiency across teams
- Manage event budgets and execute marketing plans
- Drive event attendance and create or compile event content
- Plan agendas and manage attendee registration
- Own vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
- Manage lead capture, exhibit house operations, storage, literature, and swag for global use
- Report to the Director of Global Events as part of the Global Marketing team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or university degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
- Experience in project and budget management
- Experience in biotechnology, specializing in events
- Knowledge of event automation technology and customer experience
- Knowledge of analytics and ROI reporting
- Ability to travel 25% nationally and internationally
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 30 lbs.
