About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensures Occupational Health & Safety performance through the development, implementation, management and collaboration of health and safety programs across US and international sites.
- Drives critical occupational health & safety programs such as Injury/Illness Reporting & Investigation, Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Control of Hazardous Energy, Chemical Handling & Storage, Biological Safety, Fire Prevention, Ergonomics, etc. to reduce risks and company costs.
- Exhibits a working knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
- Identifies, prioritizes, mitigates, and communicates health & safety compliance risks to the organization.
- Assess and improve safety performance sites assessments and driving continuous improvement by establishing performance targets, data analysis and reporting.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or other field.
- At least 3, preferably 5+ years of experience in health and safety program management.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety frameworks.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel as required (up to 10%, including overnight stays).
