About the role

  • Partner with the Americas Service Director to drive service strategy, optimize operational efficiency, develop personnel, and achieve business growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop district managers and field engineers to deliver outstanding customer experiences and exceptional technical service.
  • Own key field service processes including: operational improvement, daily management, help desk workflows, quality, and safety.
  • Identify and solve complex operational challenges, leveraging cross-functional resources as needed.
  • Set clear expectations, provide coaching, and drive service performance metrics to meet revenue, profitability, quality, and productivity targets.
  • Use Danaher Business System (DBS) and data analysis tools and partner with Commercial Operations to improve forecasting accuracy, resource planning, and team performance.
  • Serve as the escalation point for Field Service issues for customers and channel partners, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or related field OR 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of people management experience - a manager of managers, including developing leaders.
  • 5+ years managing a field service organization in a high-tech or life sciences environment.
  • 5+ years experience leading customer-facing teams and managing customer relationships.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office and data-driven decision making.
