About the role
- Support preventive safety culture
- Coordinate design, develop, and test valve stem seals
- Maintain open issues list for design and engineering
- Perform/coordinate Design Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEA)
- Own Design Verification Planning and Reports (DVP&R)
- Maintain program archive file
- Participate in Value Analysis and Value Engineering Activities
- Develop testing concepts for validating components
- Collaborate with CAD, Testing, and Manufacturing
- Interpret test results and write reports
- Develop materials and validate product concepts
- Interface with production team for manufacturability
- Benchmark competitor activity
- Lead program engineering meetings
Requirements
- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 software
- Proven self-starter with time management ability
- Team-focused and independent worker
- Ability to work under timing pressures and dependability
- Understanding of internal combustion engines (desired)
- Experience with customer engineering interaction (desired)
- Experience with Siemens Teamcenter (desired)
- Experience with small, molded rubber products (desired)
