About the role

  • Lead all engineering activities at the assembly plant (excluding Manufacturing Engineering), ensuring effective coordination between project engineering and the assembly floor during industrialization
  • Represent Engineering in internal and customer meetings for products in production, communicating milestones, issues, change requests, and risks to ensure alignment
  • Prepare Engineering Design and Testing cost estimates, track project spend, and secure cost recovery for production phase design changes in collaboration with Sales and stakeholders
  • Support Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives for industrialized products as the Engineering representative
  • Lead engineering development from technical evaluation through production for aftermarket opportunities and new applications based on industrialized products
  • Ensure clear and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders, escalating engineering risks and issues impacting the assembly plant or production
  • Act as Engineering liaison with Plant and Customer Quality teams, supporting issue resolution during industrialization and early production
  • Lead engineering change management activities on the assembly line, ensuring timely and controlled implementation of design, process, or technology changes
  • Drive the capture and sharing of lessons learned from production issues to prevent recurrence in future projects
  • Define and report engineering KPIs related to launch performance, production efficiency, and on time delivery

Requirements

  • University bachelor degree - Electrical, Mechanical or Software Engineering
  • Experience in the automotive industry in a development environment, preferably at Tier1 or OEM e-propulsion department
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in powertrain or e-powertrain systems
  • Knowledge of electrified powertrains
  • Relevant experience in requirements management tools (e.g., Design, CAE, ASPICE, CMMI, Agile, PDP, Polarion, etc.)
  • Proven problem solving techniques (e.g. RedX, Ishikawa diagram, 5-Whys)
  • Experience with PLM system (e.g. Teamcenter)
  • Basic understanding and ability to utilize CAD software (e.g. Creo Parametric)
  • Advanced skills in drafting technical reports and presentations with Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience in automotive functional safety according to ISO26262
  • Fluent in English
