About the role
- Design, create, modify, and manage 3D models and 2D drawings to meet fixturing and tooling requirements.
- Support both mechanical components and complete assemblies throughout the development and prototype process.
- Manage CAD data within PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) including maintaining version control and documentation of design iterations.
- Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to support product development and design changes including design reviews.
- Support prototype builds and testing support with accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related discipline
- 3+ years fixturing design experience
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using Siemens NX.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interface with test and prototype teams at their respective workstations to gather feedback, identify improvement opportunities, and provide troubleshooting support.
- Ensure designs meet company standards, industry regulations, and manufacturability requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
