About the role
- Support seismic evaluations and retrofit design
- Perform structural analysis and prepare calculations
- Develop technical documentation and reports
- Conduct site visits and field investigations
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants
- Participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings
- Ensure compliance with California building and seismic codes
- Assist in developing project scope, schedule, and budgets
- Prepare structural calculations and documentation
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and owners
- Support regulatory approvals and agency coordination
- Participate in construction administration
- Track project milestones and deliverables
- Partner with Principal-in-Charge on structural system concepts for Position C
- Lead design coordination across disciplines for Position C
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, and staffing for Position C
- Mentor junior engineers for Position C
- Oversee construction administration and consultant coordination for Position C
- Support proposal efforts and business development initiatives for Position C
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 3+ years of structural engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles and California codes
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and AutoCAD
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
- California SE or PE preferred (or progress toward licensure)
- 8–10 years of progressive structural experience for Position C
- Demonstrated team leadership and project management experience for Position C
- Proven ability to manage collaborative project environments for Position C
