About the role
- Prepare and ensure accuracy of month-end reports, journal entries, and schedules
- Analyze individual account activity and prepare analysis schedules
- Maintain month-end close organization and document retention
- Obtain and analyze data for compliance reports
- Assist with sales tax return preparation and other sales tax compliance
- Prepare cost analysis reports for projects
- Assist with managing lien releases and pay applications
- Assist with preparing information and pulling supporting documents for the external audit
- Enter vendor invoices into accounts payable system
- Assist with documenting and testing the internal controls
- Assist billing customers and maintaining accurate customer accounts
- Assist with general department duties as needed
Requirements
- must be enrolled as a student and registered for at least 12 credits
- preferred candidate would be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business/economics with an accounting minor or related degree
- only strong academic performers in undergraduate coursework will be considered
- must maintain an acceptable GPA
- unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered
- good oral and written communication skills
- good organizational skills
- self-motivation
- Microsoft Office experience preferred
- willingness to learn
- ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- fluent in English, both written and verbal
- applicants must be 18 years of age or older
