About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare, analyze, and submit new credit requests and file reviews to the Dealer Credit Manager
- Provide sound and reasoned credit recommendations based on established guidelines and dealership experience
- Perform monthly reviews of dealership financial statements
- Make recommendations regarding subordination, guarantees, state legal requirements, UCCs, and protective agreements
- Prepare and maintain dealer document files
- Provide daily service to DRM/RFM personnel, Region Managers, dealer personnel, and management regarding credit files, system issues, approvals, contingencies, documentation, and financial statements
- Review wholesale inventory and book audits and recommend actions on audit issues and exceptions
- Communicate with dealer personnel throughout the credit request and maintenance process, including monthly financial statement reviews
- Continuously monitor borrowers, financial performance, and payment of credit lines
- Communicate regularly with dealer principals/owners, CFOs, field sales, credit management, and legal counsel
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/BA and preferably 2–4 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Experience in credit analysis and automotive commercial underwriting
- Financial statement review and cash flow analysis
- Commercial lending or dealer finance experience
- Risk assessment or portfolio management experience
- Ability to collect data, establish facts, identify trends, and identify variance
- 3+ years of experience in fundamental accounting and/or automotive industry commercial finance preferred
- Experience in wholesale audit preferred
- Understanding of Universal Commercial Code (UCC) preferred
- Business acumen to understand dealership operations, financial drivers, and market dynamics to assess creditworthiness and risk
- Ability to navigate complex structures, build cross-functional relationships, and influence stakeholders within a corporate environment
- Customer focus and ability to build strong relationships
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving and analysis skills
- Effective teamwork and collaboration capabilities
- Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country of posting
- Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
