About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Answer calls, emails, and electronic tickets from dealers and customers throughout the United States and Canada
  • Assist in resolving problems related to Freightliner and Western Star trucks and Detroit Powertrain
  • Assist in dealer technical support and service technical case triage
  • Assist in data cleanup for Customer Account Numbers across DTNA
  • Provide dealer referral information, warranty verification, and fleet program information using company documentation, literature, and databases
  • Field customer complaints and provide advanced dealer-to-customer and dealer-to-dealer mediation
  • Maintain call note logs with pertinent repair information and documentation in Salesforce
  • Provide support to CAC team members through on-the-job training and call support
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and meetings
  • Follow all DTNA Safety and Compliance guidelines and refer relevant issues to Compliance and/or Legal

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA and 0–2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Comfortable talking to people most of the day
  • Professional demeanor as a DTNA representative
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
  • Comfortable working with multiple computer applications simultaneously
  • Interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Time management, problem-solving, and priority-setting skills
  • Ability to work some holidays and provide after-hours support as needed
  • Previous Salesforce experience is an asset
  • Working knowledge of warranty systems is an asset
  • Broad knowledge of Freightliner and Western Star product lines, the heavy-duty truck industry, and customer/dealer environments is an asset
  • Existing relationships with field employees is an asset
  • Knowledge of DTNA systems such as Excelerator, IMACs, OWL, DTNA Portal, and Excel is an asset
  • Legally authorized to work permanently in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable
  • Successful criminal background check required for the final candidate
  • Pre-employment drug screen may be required
