About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct Physical and Book Audits to validate inventory collateral and dealer compliance with DTFS policies
  • Perform on-site inventory inspections using digital audit tools, inventory reports, and supporting documentation
  • Support Bank Cut Off, Limited Financial Review, pledge line, lease line, and acquisition audit activities
  • Identify, investigate, and document inventory discrepancies, collateral deficiencies, and potential Sold Out of Trust situations
  • Review, reconcile, and validate third-party audit results for U.S. and Canadian dealer portfolios
  • Research, document, and resolve audit exceptions
  • Escalate findings involving potential financial, compliance, or fraud-related risks
  • Partner with Dealer Credit, Wholesale Administration, Sales, and external stakeholders to resolve audit issues and protect company assets
  • Represent DTFS during dealer audit activities and maintain business relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA and preferably 2–4 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of one year of field audit experience
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of dealer personnel and business partners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel approximately 95%
  • Must reside within reasonable proximity to a major airport
  • Experience in financial services, commercial lending, wholesale finance, collections, or credit operations is advantageous
  • Experience conducting inventory audits, collateral audits, field examinations, or compliance reviews is advantageous
  • Knowledge of floorplan financing, dealer operations, and secured collateral is advantageous
  • Experience with Alfa, DIFM, WFS, Digital Audit, or similar systems is advantageous
  • Experience within a captive finance company, commercial bank, or transportation finance organization is advantageous
  • Knowledge of trucking, transportation, automotive, or heavy equipment industries is advantageous
  • Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States
  • Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
