About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate and facilitate Investment Committee and sub-committee meetings, activities, and agenda items
- Partner with external advisors to drive & implement retirement trust investment strategy and ensure alignment with industry best practices
- Perform investment manager due diligence
- Coordinate with the custodian bank, including monitoring and rebalancing retirement trusts, and overseeing payment and wire processing
- Oversee pension & retiree medical actuarial services, including rebalancing, expense, pension funding, and project-based activities
- Coordinate plan benefit audits and regulatory filings for retirement plans and trusts
- Partner with global pension, healthcare, and treasury employees on key benefit topics and recommendations
- Management of payroll, fringe, pension, retiree medical, and expatriate accounting activities, including oversight of month-end close, review of key accounting entries and reconciliations, and resolution of complex accounting matters.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members by providing clear direction, regular feedback, and support for professional growth.
- Support internal and external auditors to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and adherence to internal procedures
- Cross-functionally manage the fringe rate setting and review process in partnership with Controlling, OPT, and other business stakeholders
- Oversight and approval of benefit vendor expenses
- Ensure key investment, contribution, and GL reconciliations are completed and accurate
- Evaluate the team’s key internal controls to ensure necessary controls are in place, documented, and tested in accordance with the Company’s internal requirements
- Serve as a key business partner across accounting, controlling, finance operations, CPR, and OPT teams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or related field required.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, pension administration, employee benefits accounting, treasury, or finance operations.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting, investment management, finance, or benefits professionals or related experience.
- Strong accounting and financial reporting background, including experience reviewing and approving complex accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules.
- Experience with employee benefit, pension, payroll, or related accounting functions
- Strong analytical, project management, and business partnering skills.
