About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and use commodity strategies as the basis for supplier selection, cost reduction, margin improvement, and overall supply chain management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies with organizational goals
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing ones
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure favorable agreements for the organization
- Negotiate the most effective long term programs for DTNA - including supplier commitments for production pricing that will differentiate DTNA in the marketplace
- Resolve commercial operational issues in a timely manner with suppliers including pricing and contractual terms
- Support and monitor results reporting through global business systems
- Contribute to the professionalization of the organization by implementing best practices in procurement, supplier relationship management, and cross functional collaboration
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall procurement processes and efficiency
- Prepare presentations and present to senior leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/BSE level degree in business, supply and logistics, finance, economics, engineering, materials science or related technical discipline and 2-4 years of relevant experience OR 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Previous work experience in commodity management, procurement, contracting, materials management, logistics, manufacturing, quality, account management
- Ability to take charge and lead tasks to completion
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to evaluate and select suppliers using analytical tools
- Experience with contracts, cost structures as well as business and economic issues
- Supplier negotiation experience
- Strong organizational and planning skills and the demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects
- Ability to prioritize and allocate resources to align with department and company goals
- Proven track record to deliver results and achieve goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to create strong working relationships
- Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business
- Proficient with all applications within Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English both written and verbal
