About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and use commodity strategies as the basis for supplier selection, cost reduction, margin improvement, and overall supply chain management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies with organizational goals
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing ones
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure favorable agreements for the organization
  • Negotiate the most effective long term programs for DTNA - including supplier commitments for production pricing that will differentiate DTNA in the marketplace
  • Resolve commercial operational issues in a timely manner with suppliers including pricing and contractual terms
  • Support and monitor results reporting through global business systems
  • Contribute to the professionalization of the organization by implementing best practices in procurement, supplier relationship management, and cross functional collaboration
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance overall procurement processes and efficiency
  • Prepare presentations and present to senior leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BSE level degree in business, supply and logistics, finance, economics, engineering, materials science or related technical discipline and 2-4 years of relevant experience OR 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Previous work experience in commodity management, procurement, contracting, materials management, logistics, manufacturing, quality, account management
  • Ability to take charge and lead tasks to completion
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to evaluate and select suppliers using analytical tools
  • Experience with contracts, cost structures as well as business and economic issues
  • Supplier negotiation experience
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and the demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects
  • Ability to prioritize and allocate resources to align with department and company goals
  • Proven track record to deliver results and achieve goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to create strong working relationships
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business
  • Proficient with all applications within Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal
