About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and facilitate large cross-functional DMU/project meetings to drive alignment, track progress and ensure timely resolution of open issues with engineering teams, PVE, EPM and Quality teams.
- Perform vehicle packaging studies and feasibility analyses to support concept and early design phases
- Develop and continuously improve DMU processes, reports, tools, and workflows
- Create and manage component envelopes (e.g., tire, engine) to validate requirements
- Coordinate clash and clearance analysis to identify and mitigate design conflicts
- Support concept development and design validation through virtual modeling
- Report and communicate design issues, DMU BOMs, Shopcalls and resolution status
- Provide virtual vehicle layouts and visualization for engineering decision-making, design reviews and sales/customer support initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience in automotive engineering
- Experience with 3D CAD tool NX
- Proficiency with Data visualization and analytics tools: PowerBI, Tableau and SQL
- Proficiency with programming macros in VBA language
- Ability to conduct automotive design reviews
- Solid understanding of engineering and upstream and downstream processes required
- Ability to work on-site at least four days per week
