About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- define the Interface Design & Concept Development to implement complex vocational customer requests
- Coordinate specific projects development requests (DR’s) from local vocational projects (47V, 47F and FCCC) that has impact in Vehicle Control & Upfit team (VC&U)
- align with the team and create the implementation plan.
- Plan and ensure the complete migration of existing features in CEEA+ to CEEAce projects
- Interface with feature owners, system owners, SW model in VC&U and Extension Module Cabin (XMC) component owner for the right SW implementation
- Manage all current issues in XMC1.0 series platform, exchange with VC&U team the solution strategy and work with SW team and XMC component owner for the implementation and time planning.
- Coordinate the service packs inputs, SW implementation and deployment to the field, working with SW model team, segment strategy and service team for the SW release announcement.
- Lead the continuous improvement in the team, collecting weakness and opportunities areas to improve, in multiple aspects: process, product, collaboration and behavior.
- Interface with Hardware in the loop and Vehicle validation team for final feature release.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or software engineering from an accredited university/college with 2-4 years, or 4-6 years in lieu of degree, is required
- Previous experience in working in a global development organization with teams and colleagues across the world
- Experience working with Software development tools, methods and processes.
- Excellent understanding and demonstrated experience with the North American vocational truck customer expectations, in particular Truck Equipment Manufacturers
- Demonstrated experience working with Service, Manufacturing, Vocational and IT engineering organizations, and the associated processes.
- Experience with vehicle data bus, CAN communications, embedded controllers is required.
- Experience leading and mentoring others in identifying/solving the root cause of complex problems is required
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, market councils and other industry relevant forums.
- Being able to work in a flexible work environment with shifting priorities.
