About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead cross-functional optimization projects focused on warehouse operations, material flow, labor productivity, inventory movement, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with operations leadership and frontline teams to identify process bottlenecks, flow disruptors, and operational pain points.
- Analyze current-state workflows and develop data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering methodologies.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve operational performance and decision-making.
- Support warehouse layout optimization, slotting strategies, storage utilization, and labor balancing initiatives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, business cases, and implementation strategies for operational improvements.
- Coordinate with IT, engineering, warehouse systems, and operational stakeholders to execute improvement initiatives.
- Monitor project performance, KPIs, and ROI metrics to ensure expected benefits are achieved.
- Facilitate change management activities and support operational adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Conduct operational studies related to throughput, travel reduction, staffing models, productivity, and process standardization.
- Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to leadership teams in a clear and professional manner.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% as needed to support business operations and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field
- 5 years of experience leading operational optimization or continuous improvement projects
- Warehouse leadership experience or direct warehouse operations experience
- Strong experience within distribution center, warehouse, or supply chain operations environments
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
- Experience analyzing operational data and translating findings into actionable process improvements
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
