About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead cross-functional optimization projects focused on warehouse operations, material flow, labor productivity, inventory movement, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with operations leadership and frontline teams to identify process bottlenecks, flow disruptors, and operational pain points.
  • Analyze current-state workflows and develop data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve operational performance and decision-making.
  • Support warehouse layout optimization, slotting strategies, storage utilization, and labor balancing initiatives.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, business cases, and implementation strategies for operational improvements.
  • Coordinate with IT, engineering, warehouse systems, and operational stakeholders to execute improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance, KPIs, and ROI metrics to ensure expected benefits are achieved.
  • Facilitate change management activities and support operational adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Conduct operational studies related to throughput, travel reduction, staffing models, productivity, and process standardization.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to leadership teams in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% as needed to support business operations and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field
  • 5 years of experience leading operational optimization or continuous improvement projects
  • Warehouse leadership experience or direct warehouse operations experience
  • Strong experience within distribution center, warehouse, or supply chain operations environments
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Experience analyzing operational data and translating findings into actionable process improvements
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
