About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the design, development, release, and lifecycle management of brake controls hardware within Vehicle Dynamics
  • Lead integration of mechanical, electrical, and control system components to meet vehicle-level performance and safety requirements
  • Drive technical decision-making for component and subsystem designs within new and existing vehicle platforms
  • Plan and support validation and verification activities to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a technical point of contact across manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and supplier partners on assigned components
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues using structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Author and review engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, change requests, and technical reports
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, cost optimization, and system robustness initiatives
  • Manage component-level deliverables, timelines, and risks in support of vehicle programs
  • Provide informal guidance and mentoring to Product Engineer I team members while collaborating with senior engineers on complex system topics, design direction, and technical decision alignment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related engineering field and 3-6 years of relevant engineering experience, is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems
  • Experience with component design, integration, and product release processes
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Proven analytical, root-cause problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • An attached resume is required.
