About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the design, development, release, and lifecycle management of brake controls hardware within Vehicle Dynamics
Lead integration of mechanical, electrical, and control system components to meet vehicle-level performance and safety requirements
Drive technical decision-making for component and subsystem designs within new and existing vehicle platforms
Plan and support validation and verification activities to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements
Serve as a technical point of contact across manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and supplier partners on assigned components
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues using structured problem-solving methodologies
Author and review engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, change requests, and technical reports
Contribute to continuous improvement, cost optimization, and system robustness initiatives
Manage component-level deliverables, timelines, and risks in support of vehicle programs
Provide informal guidance and mentoring to Product Engineer I team members while collaborating with senior engineers on complex system topics, design direction, and technical decision alignment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related engineering field and 3-6 years of relevant engineering experience, is required.
Strong working knowledge of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems
Experience with component design, integration, and product release processes
Ability to read, interpret, and create engineering drawings and technical documentation
Proven analytical, root-cause problem-solving, and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
