About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the design, development, release, and ongoing improvement of brake and pneumatic hardware within vehicle dynamics systems.
  • Assist with engineering documentation, change requests, and technical reports throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and supplier partners to investigate and resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in component testing, validation activities, and root cause analysis related to brake and air system components.
  • Review and analyze technical data, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with internal standards and external requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and complexity optimization initiatives focused on product quality, cost, and system robustness.
  • Learn and apply DTNA engineering processes, development tools, and safety-critical design principles.
  • Support senior engineers with project execution, design reviews, and milestone deliverables.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related engineering field and prefer 0-2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant engineering or technical experience in lieu of a degree
  • Fundamental understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • An attached resume is required
