About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the design, development, release, and ongoing improvement of brake and pneumatic hardware within vehicle dynamics systems.
Assist with engineering documentation, change requests, and technical reports throughout the product lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and supplier partners to investigate and resolve technical issues.
Participate in component testing, validation activities, and root cause analysis related to brake and air system components.
Review and analyze technical data, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with internal standards and external requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement and complexity optimization initiatives focused on product quality, cost, and system robustness.
Learn and apply DTNA engineering processes, development tools, and safety-critical design principles.
Support senior engineers with project execution, design reviews, and milestone deliverables.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related engineering field and prefer 0-2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant engineering or technical experience in lieu of a degree
Fundamental understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
