About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the central point of contact for all ICS matters within the UK entity, coordinating management, assessors, reviewers, auditors, Corporate ICS, and IT ICS Multipliers
  • Plan, maintain, and monitor the end-to-end ICS cycle in line with the mandatory ICS Campaign Calendar
  • Translate group timelines into detailed local action plans
  • Perform and oversee entity-level risk assessments, scoping exercises, formal coverage testing, and documentation
  • Define, coordinate, and monitor effectiveness testing activities, test plans, and sample sizes for local business and IT controls
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of Initial, Final, and Year-End Self-Assessments, uploading ratings and supporting documentation into ICoM
  • Coordinate Control Framework Assessments by validating scope, conducting tests, tracking remediation, and securing management approvals
  • Conduct systematic quality audits of credit underwriting, payout, and customer service files
  • Suggest and implement process improvements for compliance, operational efficiency, and standardisation
  • Serve as primary liaison for internal and external auditors
  • Support the transformation journey, DTFS Next Level strategy, and collaboration with Daimler Truck UK

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ideally 3 years of experience in internal controls (ICS), internal audit, quality assurance, or operational risk management
  • Proven experience within the financial services sector
  • Automotive captive finance or asset finance experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of project and process management, including Lean and Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of business process mapping
  • Knowledge of financial process control frameworks
  • Familiarity with UK financial regulations and guidelines
  • Strong interpersonal skills to advise assessors/reviewers and present complex risk topics to senior leadership
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage complex data structures and tight group timelines
