About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Full responsibility for handling complex EU tenders for diesel, electric and fuel-cell buses, as well as system offers including charging infrastructure and depot management for the German market
  • Preparation of complex scheduled-service bus offers for the German market
  • Ensure targeted coordination between all involved process partners, e.g. operational sales, order processing, after sales, etc.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to operational sales and customers
  • Advise and support factory representatives and sales staff in preparing offers and configuring vehicles with regard to customer-specific requirements
  • Lead and support sales negotiations
  • Technical clarification with specialist departments and/or customers, and preparation of complex issues (technology, constructability, alternatives, pricing)
  • Review and process the technical and commercial customer requirements of all bus-specific EU tenders for the German market

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You hold a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification with additional certification (e.g. technician, master craftsman) and bring several years of professional experience
  • In addition, you have knowledge of Daimler Buses products and the complex technical landscape
  • You also have good knowledge of common IT applications and systems such as Teams, Outlook, MS Office, SAP, online tender portals, AI applications, etc.
  • You have experience dealing with external contacts and customers and possess in-depth knowledge in vehicle engineering and bus technology, ideally electric vehicle (EV) technology, as well as tendering regulations according to EU directives and VOL/A
  • Negotiation-level German (business fluent) completes your profile
  • You are a team player who is motivated and enthusiastic about innovative products, with strong communication skills, agility, and the ability to think and act independently and analytically
