About the role

  • You perform threat and risk analyses (TARA — Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment), derive security objectives and reduce security risks by selecting appropriate security measures.
  • You develop and review security concepts and architectures for control units (ECUs), applications and systems, always keeping the overall vehicle cyber security in view.
  • You support developers of control units, systems and applications specifically in the field of vehicle cyber security and coordinate the implementation and validation of security solutions with suppliers.
  • You define, organize and oversee penetration tests at function, ECU and vehicle level.
  • You support vehicle cyber security reviews regarding the appropriate implementation of security scopes and compliance with requirements.
  • You prepare vehicle cyber security specifications and documentation in accordance with ISO/SAE 21434.
  • You contribute to security certifications, assessments and audits.
  • You collaborate with international partners in development and testing and expand professional networks.
  • You look beyond your immediate responsibilities, independently advance your topics, adapt them to changing conditions and represent them in group-wide projects.

Requirements

  • You hold a university degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • You have several years of professional experience in the electrical/electronics domain for automotive applications, preferably in development and testing of control unit software.
  • You have experience in vehicle cyber security and are familiar with cyber security standards (e.g. ISO 27000, ISO/SAE 21434, etc.) and process-compliant development of automotive software.
  • You possess excellent analytical and structuring skills, think strategically and are confident in methodical approaches.
  • You have strong communication and teamwork skills, combined with persuasiveness and assertiveness when dealing with internal and external partners.
  • You have experience with agile working methods such as Scrum or SAFe.
  • You demonstrate a high degree of initiative, commitment and sense of responsibility.
  • Your German and English language skills, both written and spoken, are at a business-fluent level.
