About the role

  • Support the preparation of reports and records to ensure delivery in accordance with accounting principles, applicable regulations and legislation, within the deadlines and procedures established by the company;
  • Perform account reconciliations and the composition/analysis of balance sheet accounts across various account groups;
  • Manage the company’s fixed assets (monthly classification, control of loaned assets under comodato agreements with commercial and marketing areas, and lead the fixed-asset inventory process for headquarters, branches and showrooms);
  • Support the closing of the Income Statement (DRE) – knowledge of accrual and cash recognition criteria, provisioning, and monitoring actual vs. budget, and costs;
  • Ensure completion of closing activities according to deadlines set by the U.S. head office, meeting the D+3 deadline;
  • Provide support for internal and external audits and other company departments;
  • Continuously pursue innovation and process reviews to add value to routine activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
  • Minimum 4 years of prior accounting experience;
  • Solid understanding of accrual accounting principles;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and BI tools;
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize;
  • Analytical, proactive profile with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Availability to work in a hybrid model (on-site / remote);
  • Experience with TOTVS (Protheus) system is required;
  • Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP is a plus;
  • English language proficiency is a plus.
