About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform service of equipment including inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality
Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems
Conduct intermediate and advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing of commercial HVAC equipment
Educate technical and non-technical customers on proper use of equipment
Lead and participate in the rebuild and retrofit of commercial HVAC level units
Record and report billing, inventory, and timecards
Download programs into commercial HVAC equipment and analyze chiller trend data
Participate in available training
Maintain all required certifications

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Accepted as Journeyman by the union
High School Diploma or GED
Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
Rotational Emergency Call Support
Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
