About the role
- Perform Maintenance, warranty, Rebuilds/Retrofits, start-ups and service of CAT I, II, & III equipment.
- Independently inspect and test systems to ensure installation and functionality are intact.
- Perform Start Ups: Verify functionality of new CAT I, II & III equipment.
- Educate customers on proper use of equipment, maintenance schedule, and operating manual.
- Wear personal protective equipment when completing service tasks.
- Complete jobsite hazard assessment prior to initiating service.
- Adhere to Daikin Applied and customer safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
- Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, product quality reports (PQR), and articles as required.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from Daikin Applied installed equipment database, industry sources, business directories, vertical market information or any other lead generation source.
- Prepare cost estimates and price quotations on new work and coordinates the preparation of cost estimates on project continuations.
- Verify and quote prices, credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective start-up of maintenance contracts and installation of jobs according to the specific contract terms.
- Prepares reports of pipeline, sales activity, and business plans.
- Drive customer service by resolving issues quickly and fully, soliciting customer feedback to improve service; responding to requests for service and assistance; meeting commitments.
Requirements
- 4 – 6+ years related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Rotational Emergency Call Support as required
- Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
- Commercial HVAC Industry Experience (preferred)
- EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)
- OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (Daikin provides this training during onboarding process) (preferred)
- Current first aid / CPR card (preferred)
