Site Reliability Engineering Lead – SRE Lead

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish and evolve SRE practices across Dabble, including reliability standards, observability, and incident management
- Introduce frameworks such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets where appropriate
- Work with engineering teams to improve the reliability, scalability, and operability of systems
- Participate in design and architecture discussions, providing input on resilience, performance, and operational considerations
- Establish and improve incident management processes, including on-call practices and escalation paths
- Lead or support major incident response when required
- Improve system visibility through effective monitoring, logging, and alerting, ensuring alerts are meaningful and actionable
- Identify opportunities to automate operational tasks, reduce toil, and improve CI/CD and release processes
- Monitor system performance, introduce capacity planning practices, and drive improvements in system resilience
- Work closely with Cloud, Engineering, and Product teams, providing guidance on best practices and contributing to documentation and runbooks
- Support the growth of SRE capability, including hiring and mentoring engineers over time
- Provide technical leadership and set expectations for engineering quality and operational practices
- Remain hands-on in technical delivery, including contributing to tooling, automation, and incident response
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience (5+ years) in SRE, DevOps, platform, or systems engineering roles
- Strong experience operating and supporting production systems
- Demonstrated experience implementing SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
- Experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures
- Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, and Linux environments
- Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills.
