About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment used in various industries
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform inspections
- Complete necessary repairs or part replacements on client sites
- Ensure that the equipment is functioning optimally and minimizing downtime
- Consults with Service Supervisor to plan effective work and travel schedule
- Diagnose malfunctions and repair or replace worn and defective parts
- Provide tools and parts and arrange for facilities to perform repair work
- Inspect, operate, and test machines upon delivery and completion of repair work
- Report to Service Supervisor with information regarding repairs and service work
- Strive to increase technical skills through attendance at vocational schools or training
- Promote and enhance the company image by maintaining neat personal appearance and service truck condition
- Experienced servicemen are expected to serve as troubleshooters and train new servicemen
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working on heavy equipment required
- Experience working with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment
- Experience working with diesel engines
- 2+ years of field service experience preferred
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, MVR and physical
- Experience working with customers
