About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with the Product team to understand and shape functional requirements
Design and implement solutions using Python, Django, and other tools, focusing on quality, performance, and scalability
Drive implementation from conception to deployment
Collaborate with other engineers and write effective, well-tested code
Maintain and improve the existing codebase
Troubleshoot issues and review tickets
Provide work updates and feedback to others
Drive projects from implementation to deployment and maintain current projects
Influence engineering direction and product decisions while taking ownership of work
Ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experienced-level candidate
Strong proficiency in Python and code-design principles
Experience with Django or a similar web framework
Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, Bedrock, S3, CloudFormation/Terraform, and IAM
Proven ability to design, deploy, and manage distributed systems using cloud infrastructure
Expertise in troubleshooting and debugging large codebases and complex systems with big datasets
Deep understanding of relational databases, including troubleshooting and performance optimization on large datasets
Familiarity with REST API, PostgreSQL, Celery, Redis, and Git
Results-driven approach and ability to balance practical and optimal solutions
Experience with trading or portfolio management systems
Experience with numpy, pandas, and/or Polars
Background in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
