Collaborate with physicists and other QEC specialists to develop, simulate, and experimentally validate QEC codes
Implement robust software components, integrate them into D-Wave’s software stack, and write comprehensive tests
Work with stakeholders on both near- and long-term quantum computing applications including error correction resource estimation for practical problems
Write clean, well-documented code and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability
Provide software mentorship and guidance on best practices and help drive adherence to software best practices

Requirements

MS or PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a specialization in quantum computing
5+ years of hands-on software development experience with C, C++, Python, or another general-purpose compiled programming language
3+ Quantum computing or quantum information experience including at least one modern quantum SDK such as Qiskit, Q#, CUDA-Q, or Stim
Competence with Git version control, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines
Use of software testing principles and practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing
