About the role

  • Implementation of the global sourcing strategy for truck transport (ambient, temperature-controlled, hazardous goods, and tankers)
  • Alignment of the strategy with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Analysis and evaluation of suppliers based on quality, cost and global standardization
  • Management of truck tenders, spot requests and evaluation of inquiries
  • Monitoring of price trends, adjustment of sourcing strategies and negotiation of contracts

  • Market monitoring to identify optimal procurement timing and evaluation of outsourcing opportunities
  • Management of contract administration and stakeholder communication

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Freight Forwarding/Logistics or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in procurement, preferably in logistics (particularly truck transport) within the food industry or a related sector
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, TMS (Transport Management Systems), MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and tendering tools
  • Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Communication skills, relationship management and adaptability
  • Technical understanding, process-oriented approach and a team player attitude
