About the role
- Responsible for the global insurance portfolio with a focus on property, business interruption, liability, cargo, motor fleet, trade credit, cyber, directors & officers (D&O) and engineering/technical insurance
- Develop the insurance strategy and ensure appropriate coverage for all group companies
- Global insurance claims management and handling of insurance claims together with local entities
- Central point of contact for internal departments and international subsidiaries on insurance- and risk-related matters
- Analyse insurance-related risks and optimisation potentials, and prepare decision papers and reports for global and local management
Requirements
- Commercial training in the insurance sector or a degree in business administration, engineering or alternatively law
- Several years of relevant professional experience in industrial insurance at a global insurance broker, insurer or manufacturing company
- Technical expertise and a solid technical understanding of industrial processes and plant/equipment to manage complex international insurance programmes appropriately
- Excellent communication and assertiveness in German and English (both written and spoken)
- Strong affinity for digital solutions and a good understanding of process design
- Willingness to travel occasionally to different locations
