Key responsibilities & impact

Help define and execute on a strategic vision for data engineering
Collaborate with Product and other stakeholders to define and prioritize the technical roadmap
Drive the successful execution of data engineering projects across multiple teams
Oversee the development and maintenance of scalable, reliable data pipelines and infrastructure
Establish and enforce best practices for data quality, privacy, security, compliance, and ethical data usage
Build and grow a high-performing team of data engineers
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration within the organization
Provide mentorship and clear career growth paths for team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience (5+ years in Data or other Software Engineering with 2+ years in Data Engineering leadership roles)
Strong, hands-on expertise in modern data engineering tools and frameworks (e.g., DBT, Airflow, Google Cloud Platform)
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working in a HIPAA regulated environment and supporting data security and privacy controls
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Demonstrated experience building and supporting Data Warehouse solutions
Strong drive for automated testing
