About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support project teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of client-facing and internal initiatives
- Bridge communication between stakeholders
- Document business requirements
- Manage project schedules
- Ensure smooth coordination across functional teams
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
- Support project planning activities including scheduling, resource coordination, and task tracking
- Facilitate project meetings, capture action items, and ensure timely follow-up and closure
- Prepare project documentation such as meeting minutes, status reports, and project plans
- Support risk, issue, and change management processes
- Monitor project progress against established timelines and escalate risks or blockers as needed
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and leadership to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and support the development of best practices for project management and business analysis
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in a business analyst, project coordinator, technical writing or similar role
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Confluence)
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Preferred Skills: Experience supporting government or federal IT projects
- Knowledge of project management tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, or MS Project
- Ability to obtain Business Analysis or Project Management certification (e.g., CBAP, CAPM, PMP)
