About the role
- Ensure complete and accurate employee data and compensation plan details across all relevant systems
- Reconcile and analyze large, complex datasets to maintain accurate variable compensation, performance tracking, plan attribution, and sales hierarchies
- Administer the end-to-end commission process: data validation, calculation, approval, and timely payout execution
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales Operations, and HR to support plan design and implementation of new compensation programs
- Reconcile commission statements and proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Provide clear, timely responses to commission-related inquiries from sales team members
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and regulatory requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize compensation operations and increase accuracy, scalability, and transparency
- Develop and deliver dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into compensation performance and program effectiveness
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to support program innovation and scalability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in sales compensation administration or sales operations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, etc.)
- Experience with commission/incentive compensation tools especially CaptivateIQ is highly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Understanding of sales processes, incentive structures, and common compensation models (e.g., quota attainment, accelerators, SPIFFs)
- Experience working in a SaaS, technology, or high-growth company environment is a plus
