About the role
- Oversee purchasing activities, ensuring that goods and services are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively to support business operations.
- Update Purchase Orders as shipments arrive and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and overstock situations & coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet organizations needs.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best deals.
- Work closely with internal QED cross functional teams to ensure a smooth procurement operations.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare reports as needed on purchasing activities and supplier performance.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in Purchasing or supply chain management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizations skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of purchasing and requisitioning practices and procedures
- Ability to skillfully utilize the MS Office Suite
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred in Business or Supply Chain Management
- 1+ Years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related area
