About the role
- Practices good interpersonal relations, using tact, courtesy, a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers.
- Handles difficulties with customers and works directly to resolve issues related to fabrication, site preparation etc.
- Assists customers with shipping discrepancies and defective materials on job-related orders.
- Expedites material when material is needed faster than normal lead times.
- Resolves customer order problems and complaints promptly.
- Acquires, uses and continuously develops personal technical knowledge of general and specialty merchandise items to assist customers and other company personnel.
- Ability to prepare quotations, for customers.
- Identifies, uses and maintains appropriate company and/or customer pricing systems.
Requirements
- Detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Able to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
- Previous project management experience a plus.
- Self-starter who can work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to do take-offs
- A college degree and/or equivalent industry experience is requested.
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Acrobat.
