About the role
- Manage the cycle counting program
- Respond to and complete inventory trackers in a timely manner
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage
- Monitor equipment maintenance and housekeeping
- Understand best practices and proper procedures, ensuring a safe warehousing environment while engaged in any of these processes
- Accurate utilization of Location Maintenance, Inventory Adjustment Entry and Cycle Counting and follow all Irby protocols
- Return Goods Queue processing of all returns to Irby vendors, customers and other branches
- Handle all return types (Review, Defective and Over ship and process each type as required per Irby Standard Procedures)
- Guide other warehouse associates in executing inventory-specific processes as needed
Requirements
- Knowledge of safety practices
- Ability to lift heavy packages and objects
- Skill in operating forklift or other materials handling equipment
- Skill in operating large vehicles in tight and congested areas
- Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Customer focused and team oriented
- Frequent required standing
- Required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
